Koolan Island Airstrip Surveyed By Northwest Surveyors

RM Surveys were engaged by CMC on behalf of Mount Gibson Iron to supply survey services on the construction of a new 2.1 km airstrip on Koolan Island to take larger aircraft to bring the mine’s workforce on direct flights to and from Perth. Services supplied included managing machine guidance equipment on dozers, set out of earthworks, set out of the layers of the airstrip pavement and as-constructed survey of underground power.
