RM Surveys was delighted to be a keynote speaker at this year’s HxGN Live talking about Perth’s world-class Optus Stadium. The talk coved how the project presented challenges in monitoring subsidence of the new structure, survey control, setout of the concrete works from a 3D model and working in a BIM environment. A Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, Certified Practicing Engineering Surveyor and conversant with all aspects of GNSS, construction, dimensional control, UAV and hydrographic surveying. He is involved in a mentoring program for final year spatial science students at Curtin University Western Australia.

As Survey Manager on Perth’s Optus Stadium, Bernie and his team proudly embraced groundbreaking BIM (building information modelling) technology, the first of its kind for Perth’s construction industry.
The team delivered all survey aspects of the project including, concrete, steel, laser scanning, civil, service coordination and landscaping.
Bernie’s wealth of experience in high-rise and Tier 1 construction, both in WA and overseas, is raising the benchmark of quality surveying services for RM Surveys clients.
